Sweet meets Savory: An Unexpected Pairing of Donuts and Cheese! 

Prepare your taste buds for a delightful adventure! Shea Cheese is partnering with our beloved neighbor Bosa Donuts to present an evening of culinary curiosity and unexpected harmony.

What to Expect

Donuts and cheese may sound crazy, but we promise it will be a tasty trip around the cheese and donut cases. 

Think of it like a fun twist of bread and cheese. There is a magical opening of flavors when you pair sweet and salty. 

The only requirement is that you must love donuts and you must love cheese. The rest is easy. 

You'll taste: 5 different cheeses, 5 different donuts (equal to 2.5 donuts). Water will be provided, as well as a few palette cleansers

1/4 pound of your favorite cheese from the evening

The Introvert/Silent Book Club is the perfect space for those who crave a quiet atmosphere for reading a good book without the added stress of a book analysis.

Half Full Coffee will arrive at 9:00 am Grab a drink and settle into Shea Lounge. We will open our doors at 9:00am. 

What you can expect: No assigned books. No talking. No book discussions. No noise. No computers At 9:30am we will ring a little bell and everyone will settle in with their book. At 10:30am we will ring a little bell and everyone will be free to chat.

We ask that you leave your phone alone. Feel free to listen to music on your headphones, but keep it at a reasonable level.

The goal of the silent book club is to give everyone a place of silence to read in public. Maybe it will inspire you to pick up reading again. Maybe it will be a fun friend date.

Join us for one of our favorite events: Hike and Brunch!

We're excited to partner with Sala Thai and Just Roughin' It for a morning of good company and exploring the Phoenix Mountain Preserve. 

The hike is free! The brunch requires a ticket. You do not need a ticket if you will only be attending the hike. 

The Hike: Meet us at the Dreamy Draw Trailhead at 8:00 AM, where we will head out for a beautiful 3-mile loop. The elevation gain will be minimal, making this the perfect hike for any hiker. 

Remember to wear sturdy shoes, bring plenty of water (no, really, bring water!), and come ready for fun! The hike is free with no ticket required.

The Brunch: After our hike, we'll head to Sala Thai, where their chef will prepare a special Thai-style breakfast just for us. Tickets are required for brunch, so please reserve your spot now. 

These community events mean the world to us, and we want to make sure everyone has a good time. There are just a few rules we need you to follow to ensure the safety of everyone. 

• Show up on time. We usually leave a little after 8am, but we don't want you to miss anything!  • Be prepared: wear good shoes, bring water, and if you are a new hiker, check out the awesome seminars offered by Just Roughin' It.  • We offer these hikes for you to get to know each other and experience the desert in a fun, safe environment. 

Love reading but find traditional book clubs too chatty? Join our Silent Book Club for the perfect blend of solitude and community. Bring whatever book you're currently reading and enjoy an hour of peaceful, focused reading alongside fellow book lovers.

How it works: We gather, we read our books silently, and we optionally share what we're reading at the end. No assigned books, no homework, no pressure to discuss plot points you've forgotten—just pure reading bliss in good company.
